SUPERVISION. Safety is our number one priority at BOOT CAMP HOCKEY!
A.There will be a DUTY OFFICER present at the "Duty Hut" (Main Desk) on a 24-hour basis. This will be the number one priority and the most important job in the camp. This person will have a pulse and communications line to all that is going on at BOOT CAMP HOCKEY at all times. The Duty will also keep a detailed LOG BOOK of everything that occurs at camp which will be an official record of all activity.
B.Each Group of players will have counselors with them at all times. They will have total accountability at all times – keep in mind that one of the methods of this camp is that each player will also know where his/her teammates are at all times.
C.Each senior counselor will have at a minimum experience at the College Division I, Division III or Junior Hockey level and we will try to have representation from each of our Nation's Service Academies (US Naval Academy, West Point and US Air Force Academy). This means that this group of counselors will have lived with leadership and responsibility duties in their past and understands what it means to be responsible for their unit and the well-being of that unit! Their goal will be to take care of your player and ensure their well-being at ALL times - and they will have been screened and trained to do so with a total understanding of the concept of this camp.
D. It is obviously understood that a different approach will be taken with each age group of players. The curriculum and training methods will be tailored for each age group and a dose of caring and understanding WILL happen and be expected at EACH level of play. Again - we are here to build your player, no matter the age, in a positive way. At the younger ages, it is more of a fun, yet challenging, camp although we constantly emphasize the leadership aspect of the camp - this is the true difference!
F.A list of rules will be provided to every player and parent at BOOT CAMP HOCKEY.ANY BREACH OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE CAMP WITH NO REFUND OF ANY KIND – NO SECOND CHANCES.We are here to teach responsibility and accountability and have an extremely good reputation. Many players are here for a serious education as well as wanting to have fun, and we will not let any individuals spoil it for those players as we have a long waiting list.
